Coca Cola Freestyle x Vue Cinema | Brand campaign across digital and print

As lead designer on the Coca-Cola Freestyle and Vue Cinema partnership, I developed the visual identity and customer facing experience for Popcorn Pairing, a campaign built around two custom drink flavours designed to complement Vue’s sweet and salty popcorn. My role covered interface design for Freestyle machines, in cinema assets, and a full suite of digital and print materials rolled out across multiple countries.

The project began with a simple idea.
What if going to the cinema came with a drink flavour designed specifically for your popcorn?

The challenge was to translate that idea into an experience that felt immediate, intuitive and unmistakably cinematic. On Freestyle machines, where users are faced with hundreds of drink options, the new flavours needed to stand out without disrupting the existing system. I designed clear, inviting interface panels that made the pairings easy to find and simple to choose, balancing usability with brand consistency and visual impact.

Once the machine experience was established, I extended the concept across cinema touchpoints. This included digital screens, lobby posters and standees, along with promotional graphics used across Vue’s marketing channels. Each element combined Coca-Cola’s bold visual language with Vue’s cinematic tone, creating a cohesive campaign that felt playful, modern and engaging.

The campaign launched across the UK, as well as Denmark, Italy and Germany, turning a simple concept into a multi market experience.
