Future of Beauty is a sub-brand of The Pull Agency — a platform where leading voices in the health and beauty space share fresh, forward-thinking perspectives. When I joined the project, the podcast was still a concept. My role was to build a visual identity that could stand proudly on its own while still feeling unmistakably connected to Pull’s established brand world.
The brief was deceptively simple:
“Create a podcast identity that feels like Pull… but different.”
Pull’s visual system is bold and geometric, rooted in sharp lines and strong structure. But podcasts are fluid, human, and conversational. I needed to find a way to visually bridge those worlds: the precision of a brand agency and the organic, unpredictable nature of dialogue.
I started by digging into Pull’s graphical language and quickly realised the opportunity wasn’t in inventing something new — it was in evolving what already existed. Their geometric shapes became the foundation for something more expressive: an interactive soundwave. Instead of a static waveform, this one responded, bent, layered, and moved — a subtle nod to the constant motion and disruption within the beauty industry.
Using the keyword “disruptive” from the brief, I pushed the concept further. Solid colours overlapped outlined forms. Shapes sliced through each other. The wave was interrupted, challenged, and reshaped — mirroring the conversations the podcast aimed to spark.
To reinforce the themes of speaking and listening, I integrated cut-out imagery of mouths and ears. These became striking visual anchors, adding both character and clarity to the story the brand needed to tell.
The final identity feels like an energetic extension of the Pull brand — structured yet expressive, grounded yet forward-looking. It brings movement, character, and a sense of audio-driven storytelling to the Future of Beauty podcast, setting the tone for a brand built on bold ideas and industry disruption.
